I store information about your books and reading progress to sync this information between your devices. I also collect anonymous statistics to help improve Leatherbound.

Technical Basis

Leatherbound uses a unique iCloud identifier to associate the data collected to your devices without requiring you to sign up or log in.

Analytics

Leatherbound collects aggregate, anonymous statistics, such as the percentage of users who use particular features, to improve the app. Analytics data is collected by Apple and cannot be linked to you personally. Refer to Apple's privacy policy for more information.

Information usage

I use the information I collect to operate and improve Leatherbound, and customer support.

I do not share personal information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to accomplish Leatherbound's functionality.

I may disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal requirements; to exercise my legal right or defend against legal claims; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud or abuse, violations of my policies; or to protect my rights and property.

In the future, I may sell to, buy, merge with, or partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.

Security

I implement a variety of security measures to help keep your information secure. For instance, all communication with the app requires HTTPS.

Third-party links and content

Leatherbound displays links and content from third-party sites such as goodreads.com and books.google.com. These sites have their own independent privacy policies, and I have no responsibility or liability for their content or activities.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

I never collect or maintain information on my website from those I actually know are under 13, and no part of Leatherbound is structured to attract anyone under 13.

By using Leatherbound and providing your information, you authorise me to collect, use, and store your information outside of the European Union.
